CompassPoint Consulting, the Dubai-headquartered fractional CFO firm, has partnered with UK investment specialist Born Limitless to help founder-led businesses across the UAE and wider GCC prepare for, secure and manage growth capital, the companies announced this week. The joint offer targets established, revenue-generating founder-led and owner-managed businesses considering a capital raise within the next 12 months, and launches to businesses across the UAE, GCC and UK in September 2026
Dubai-based fractional CFO firm CompassPoint Consulting has partnered with UK investment specialist Born Limitless to help founder-led GCC businesses prepare for, raise and manage growth capital, launching to businesses across the UAE, GCC and UK in September 2026.
The offer runs in three stages: a four-to-six-week investor-readiness process, a three-to-six-month investor introduction and engagement phase led by Born Limitless, and an optional post-raise fractional CFO engagement from CompassPoint. No deal size, fee structure or named client businesses have been disclosed.
This is CompassPoint’s third disclosed UAE/GCC advisory partnership in roughly 14 months, following a partnership with compliance and governance consultancy CGI in July 2026, part of a pattern of building complementary advisory partnerships rather than a first-time move into partnered services.
How the GCC Capital-Raising offer works
The engagement runs across three phases rather than treating a capital raise as a single transaction. The first is a four-to-six-week raise-readiness process, in which Born Limitless works on investor positioning while CompassPoint builds the financial model, unit economics and supporting financial narrative. Born Limitless then leads a three-to-six-month investor engagement phase, introducing businesses to investors in its network and representing them through the process. Following a successful raise, CompassPoint can remain engaged as a fractional CFO, providing financial reporting, forecasting and operational discipline as the business deploys new capital.

Zaid Aboobaker, founder and chief executive of CompassPoint, said:
“Many founders know they need capital. What they often lack is the financial structure that makes an investor comfortable saying yes. This partnership puts preparation, introduction and post-raise leadership into a single engagement, so a founder is not assembling three separate advisers at the point they can least afford the distraction.”

Kirsty Sisson, founder of Born Limitless, said:
“We know how investors think, what they need to see, and how to turn a good business into an investment they can confidently say yes to. Pairing our investor network with CompassPoint’s financial discipline gives founders in this region both halves of that, and it gives our investors better-prepared businesses to look at.”
What’s disclosed, and what isn’t
Neither company has disclosed pricing for the engagement, a target number of businesses, the actual size of Born Limitless’s investor network, or named any business that has been through the programme. The press release itself includes a note that no fundraising outcome is guaranteed and that investment decisions rest with investors, a standard caveat for this kind of advisory offer.
Born Limitless, founded in 2019 and based in Mansfield, UK, is a small firm: business-data aggregators list it at around two employees, though headcount figures from aggregator sources are not always current or precise. CompassPoint is the larger and better-capitalised of the two partners; Hamilton Bradshaw, the private equity firm founded by James Caan CBE, made its first Dubai investment into CompassPoint in June 2025.
A pattern of complementary partnerships
This is not CompassPoint‘s first announced partnership this year. In July 2026, the firm partnered with CGI, a Dubai-based compliance and governance consultancy, to offer joined-up financial, compliance and governance advisory to UAE and GCC businesses, and it has struck at least one earlier partnership along similar lines. Each partnership pairs CompassPoint’s fractional CFO and financial-modelling work with a different specialist, compliance and governance with CGI, investor access and capital-raising with Born Limitless, rather than repeating the same offer under a new partner’s name. Whether that adds up to a genuinely broader advisory platform or simply a steady drumbeat of partnership announcements is something to watch as CompassPoint continues pairing up with new specialists.
Why it matters
For GCC founders raising capital
Fractional CFO support and investor-readiness coaching are usually bought separately, often from advisers who don’t coordinate with each other. Bundling investor-readiness, investor access and post-raise financial leadership into one engagement addresses a real, commonly cited gap: businesses that reach investors before their financial reporting, unit economics or forecasting can withstand real scrutiny.
For cross-border UK-GCC advisory services
The partnership also reflects a genuinely cross-border structure rather than a UAE-only service: CompassPoint leads the offer across the UAE and wider GCC, while Born Limitless continues working with businesses in the UK directly. That mirrors a broader pattern of founder-led businesses increasingly operating across both markets simultaneously, rather than choosing one or the other.

No. CompassPoint partnered with compliance and governance consultancy CGI in July 2026 to offer joined-up advisory services to UAE and GCC businesses, among other prior partnerships.

Editor’s Take: CompassPoint already does fractional CFO work, and investor introductions are already Born Limitless’s core business. The actual new element is the sequencing: putting readiness, introduction and post-raise financial leadership into one engagement so a founder isn’t assembling three separate advisers under pressure. That’s a sensible structural fix to a genuine problem in founder-led fundraising, businesses reaching investors before their numbers can survive scrutiny.
This is also CompassPoint’s third disclosed partnership in just over a year, after CGI in July. Individually, each partnership targets a genuinely different specialism rather than repeating the same offer, which is a reasonable way to build an advisory platform.
